A new rooftop concept arrives in Valencia’s City Hall Square with Atenea Sky, a venue whose 360° views, together with a good cocktail, will not leave anyone indifferent.
Love at first sight is how the first customers describe it as soon as they see Atenea Sky. Valencia’s City Hall Square now offers a new and interesting way to discover the city from a different perspective. On the eighth floor of the iconic Ateneo Mercantil building, Atenea has opened its doors as a new rooftop concept with 360° views across the entire city, where its cocktail offering and atmosphere come together to create “an oasis in the heart of Valencia”.
The new venue, accessed via Moratín Street, 12, is inspired by the rooftop concept as a unique experience within the city itself, with vegetation as a predominant feature. The space, designed by the Janfri & Ranchal studio, spans nearly 500 m² distributed across different areas and has capacity for more than 150 people.
The terrace, designed to capture the essence and beauty of Valencia, offers impressive panoramic views of the city, which together with its great atmosphere and background music promise memorable moments in a venue set to become a reference point in the city centre.
Its different spaces, divided between the SKY360 viewpoint, the open-air terrace and La Pérgola, a covered area with a more exclusive touch, offer guests alternatives to consider from day to night and throughout the year. A special place both for having a bite to eat or ending the day with a cocktail under the light of Valencia.
“Atenea Sky is much more than a terrace; it is a unique place that combines panoramic views with an unparalleled cocktail and music offering,” says Óscar Iglesias from Salir en Valencia, a group with more than 20 years of experience in creating events and innovative cultural proposals. “It is a different experience for those who visit the centre of Valencia and wish to discover a unique perspective of the city, its culture and its flavours”.
Alongside its carefully curated offering, Atenea Sky features a weekly music programme that makes it an ideal option both during the week and at weekends to disconnect from routine in the centre of Valencia. In addition, the venue has an open kitchen with different menus, whether for snacking or for lunch or dinner, making it one of the most complete options in the city and the perfect place for a good afterwork, given its privileged location.
“We created Atenea with the aim of generating a new reference point in the centre of Valencia, a space that, both for tourists and locals, is a new way of discovering this wonderful city and its culture,” says Fernando Aliño, one of the directors of El Alto alongside his brothers Ignacio and Isabel.

One of the fundamental aspects of this project is its Valencian roots. This is reflected not only in relation to the business groups and collaborators involved in the project, but also in its commitment to local products, using locally sourced ingredients as an essential part of the Atenea Sky concept. An example of this can be found in its signature cocktails, developed by Fillip Suárez, the venue’s master mixologist, which incorporate orange in various preparations, thus enhancing the local product in every detail.
Atenea Sky presents itself as the new must-visit destination for cocktail lovers and those who wish to enjoy “a unique point of view” of Valencia.
